History of Amos Productions

Our founder, Jody Amos, started out providing music for his High School sports teams. When he graduated in 1990, he filed for his first business license turning his hobby into a small business.  At that time, his sister and her friends were getting married, so he began DJ’ing for weddings and high school dances.  He soon added DJs and sound systems, expanding into corporate parties, night clubs, and private parties under the name Audio Illusion Productions.  He furthered his education by attending Chabot College, double majoring in Mass Communications (Radio & TV Broadcasting) and Business Administration.

After their wedding in October of 1997, Jody & Heather added full production videography and decided to build Amos Productions into a full time operation while Heather pursued a Masters Degree in Business Administration. They just celebrated their 8-year anniversary and our happy home owners here in Livermore.

In February 1998, with five DJs on staff, Jody moved the company from his garage to a small office on First Street in Livermore.  Due to our rapid growth, we have upgraded a couple times since and now reside on Southfront Road in a 5000 square foot office/warehouse.  In 2002, we opened up a satellite office in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area which is being managed by one of our top DJ's Ryan Tucknott.

Amos Productions now has a full time office staff:  DJ Manager Josh Garber since September of 2001, our Video Manager Franco started in August of 2001, our office manager Kelly just joined our team in August of 2005, and Ryan, our Arizona branch manger, has been with us since January of 1999. We now have 25 DJs and 9 members in our video department.

We are proud active members of the American Disc Jockey Association, WEVA (Wedding and Event Videographers Assoc.), Livermore and Pleasanton Chambers of Commerce,Tri-Valley Convention & Visitors Bureau and Continental Trade Exchange..
